On Monday 26th July 2021 representatives from UK Inspection Systems Ltd attended the opening of Felix’s Kitchen, the Felix Project’s new ready meal facility in East London. The image shows UKIS Managing Director, Roy Hammond, demonstrating the operation of our Fortis metal detector which will ensure that meals delivered from the kitchen will be free from metal contamination and safe to eat.
UKIS are proud to support the Felix Project, London’s largest food redistribution charity, which rescues good, surplus food from the food industry, which might otherwise be wasted, and redistributes it to those in need. Meals are delivered directly to charities and schools where vulnerable or disadvantaged people can access a healthy meal.
The Felix Project’s vision is for a London where no one goes hungry, and food is never wasted.
The Felix Project is always looking for sources of surplus food and willing volunteers; if you can help with food donations or just a little bit of your time, please contact info@thefelixproject.org
